Getting to Yellowstone can be an adventure in itself. The park is located in the northwest corner of Wyoming and shares a border with southwest Montana. Most highways in and around the park are two lane roads through wilderness areas and national forests. Weather in this region is often unpredictable especially during the winter and conditions can change rapidly. Allow for extra time during your travels to and from the park.
